GHSA expands Guidelines for Member Schools

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) announces guidelines for coaches across the state.  Beginning Monday, July 6, 2020, the GHSA will allow teams to have inter-squad competitions, such as 7 on 7 or 3 on 3, but competition between schools is still not allowed. Groups of 50 continue to be allowed if done safely. The GHSA continues to recommend a mask or face covering for all participants, and use of personal water bottles. The GHSA is still not allowing the use of equipment such as helmets and shoulder pads.  In addition, all other health restrictions that were introduced back in early June remain in effect.  Member schools are also now allowed to hold cheerleading, softball, and volleyball tryouts.
