Get an ID for your Child at the Rabun Co. Public Library

Kids who sign up for a library card in the month of September will also receive a child ID record keeper, says Rabun County Public Library Manager Dyana Costello Banks.  “We’re partnering with the City of Clayton Police Department and they are providing these child ID record keepers.  So, when a child signs up for a library card in the month of September they will automatically get one of these or if a parent, guardian, or child would like to get one of these during the month of September they just need to come up to the front desk and ask for it.”  These child ID record keepers are a great resource in an emergency, adds Costello Banks.  “It’s just in case something were to happen. It has information on emergency contacts, descriptions, as well as fingerprinting.  So, it is a really great program.”  If you have any questions, call the Rabun County Public Library at 706-782-3731.  The library is located at 73 Jo Dotson Circle in Clayton.  Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
