Georgia Voters push Turnout past One-Million

Georgia voters kept adding numbers to their record-breaking turnout for in-person Early Voting in a midterm on Wednesday November 30th. Wednesday’s single-day total of 280,808 pushed turnout over the million-voter mark. As of Thursday morning, 1,054,605 voters have cast their in-person vote in the 2022 Runoff, a pace that far exceeds the number of voters who cast ballots in the runoffs of 2018 and 2016.  “Georgia’s voting system is working well,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “While some counties are seeing more voter turnout than they anticipated, most have found a way to manage voter wait-times, and I appreciate the election officials and workers across Georgia who are doing their level-best to accommodate our record turnout.”  The last day for in-person Early Voting is Friday, December 2.
