Georgia Representative Arrested in Rabun County

An Atlanta man was arrested in Clayton for speeding and driving under the influence.

On April 7 at approximately 2PM, officers with the Clayton Police Department stopped a vehicle who was travelling 72 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. While stopped, officers noticed that there was a scent of alcohol coming from his car. The driver took a breathalyzer test, and blew a .225.

Officers arrested District 79 representative Tom Taylor of Atlanta for speeding in excess of maximum limits, Driving under the Influence, and Possession of an Open Alcohol container. Taylor was released the following day from the Rabun County Detention Center.
