Georgia Pump Price Average slides Lower

AAA reports that Georgia gas prices continue a downward trend at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgia drivers are now paying an average price of $3.77 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline (subject to change overnight). Monday’s state average is 13 cents less than a week ago, 59 cents less than last month, and 81 cents more than this time last year.  It now costs $56.55 to fill a 15-gallon tank of regular gasoline. Drivers are paying an average of $12.15 more at the pump than last year.  The Auto Club Group reports that low domestic demand for gasoline continues to trigger low prices at the pump and if the global price for crude oil does not spike this week, gas prices most likely will not increase. Whether gas prices will tick back up next month remains to be seen.  The most expensive Georgia metro market is Brunswick at $3.87 and the least expensive Georgia metro market is Valdosta at $3.50.  Since last Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has decreased by 14 cents to $4.22 (subject to change overnight).
