GDOT awards $59M in Construction Contracts

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) awarded 28 construction contracts for statewide transportation projects totaling $59,092,445. The projects included in the award were advertised on April 19, bids were received on May 17, and contracts were awarded to the lowest qualified bidders on May 31.  Of those awards, roughly 34% or $19.8 million is allotted for additional safety, construction and resurfacing projects at various locations across the state. The May awards bring the total construction contracts for Fiscal Year 2019 to $670 million. The Georgia Department of Transportation plans, constructs and maintains state and federal highways.
