Friday last opportunity for early voting

Nearly 5,000 Rabunites have made their voice heard by casting their ballots for early voting.

Elections Supervisor Tammy Whitmire said out of the 11,000 population in Rabun County, almost half have already participated.

Now, only a day is left for any voters wishing to cast an early vote in the upcoming Georgia General Election which will be held on Nov. 6.

Voters will have a number of local and state offices to cast ballots on, including the governor and lt. governor races as well as county commissioner post 5. There are also five constitutional amendments and two referendums on the ballot.

Whitmire said as a reminder, the polls will be open Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Whitmire also encouraged Rabunites that all voices need to be heard in this election.

The Rabun County Board of Elections Office is located at 19 Jo Dotson Circle, Suite 201 in Clayton.
