Four Recent Wrecks in Rabun County
The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports four recent wrecks in the county. The first crash happened on Jan. 22, at 4:15pm on Highway 28 when the driver of a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle laid the motorcycle down and it went off a steep embankment. The driver was taken by Rabun County EMS to Oconee Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the single-vehicle collision. The second wreck occurred on Jan. 23, at 1:55am on Highway 76 when a 2012 Chevy Colorado left the roadway, struck a sign and a tree. No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision. The third crash took place on Jan. 23, at 9:26am when a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee sideswiped a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe. No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. The fourth wreck happened on Jan. 23, at 10:30am on Highway 76 when a 2006 Lexus GX backed into a 2018 Honda Civic. No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.
