Four Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked four recent wrecks in the county.  The first crash happened on Jan. 1, at 1:19pm on Highway 76 East near Seed Tick Road when a 2005 Toyota Corolla swerved to miss a tree that had just fallen onto the roadway, went into a ditch, hit a road sign, came back onto the road, lost control, and overturned in a ditch.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.  The second wreck occurred on Jan. 2, at 3:20pm on Lake Rabun Road when a 1999 GMC Sonoma lost control, struck a fence, and gave out.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.  The third crash took place on Jan. 2, at 4:23pm on Highway 28 near Warwoman Road when a 2003 Subaru WRX lost control, ran off the roadway, and overturned.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.  The fourth wreck happened on Jan. 5, at 1:13pm on Georgia 15 when a 2007 Mack CV700 struck a 1999 Mazda truck as traffic came to a sudden stop.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.
