Four Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Four recent wrecks in Rabun County required the assistance of Sheriff’s Office deputies.  On August 6, at 3:55pm, a 2012 Mazda CX-9 was going down a hill on Georgia 15 near Camp Creek, hydroplaned, lost control, struck the guard rail twice, and then ended up in the gore and median.  No one was injured.  On August 6, at 4:25pm, a 2007 Nissan Altima hydroplaned on Georgia 15 near Terrora Circle and struck a 2013 Subaru Outback that was stopped at a stop sign.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  On August 7, at 11:50am, a 2012 BMW Alpina was turning left off of Highway 197 onto Blalock Goldmine Road at the same time a 2001 Ford LGT was turning right off of Blalock Goldmine Road onto Highway 197 and struck it.  No injuries were reported.  On August 7, at 6:17pm, a 2017 Ford Escape hydroplaned on Georgia 15 near the Tiger Connector, went across the right lane and into a concrete wall.  No one was seriously injured.
