Flik Dining Services training TFS Food Services Team

E. Lane Gresham of Tallulah Falls School (TFS) reports that members of the TFS food services team experienced training with Flik Independent Dining Services on July 29.  Flik is the new provider of dining services at TFS for the 2020-21 academic year.  New Director of Dining Services Dave Janecek is responsible for the day-to-day management with in-house Executive Chef Eric Mulville providing culinary expertise.  Long-time Director of Food Services Harriett Worrell is serving as a liaison between Flik and the school during the transition.  Also on site are regional representatives working with the staff to get ready for students to return to campus.  “We are thrilled to have Flik with us for the 2020-21 academic year,” said President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy. “Our expanded dining experience adds another positive element to the many ways we are preparing for the return of our students.”  Highlights of the Flik experience include chef and food services manager onsite, enhanced serving stations at both the upper and middle school with an upscale presentation to include salad bar and two lines for hot items, grab-and-go items, display boards to feature ingredients, allergen and nutrition information, cook-to-order action station for breakfast and dinner, sustainable programs and practices, online interactive menu to include nutritional information, a mobile app for ready access to menus, occasional special programs to include exhibition cooking demonstrations, new uniforms for staff, and implementation of COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols to minimize contamination.  For more information, visit https://www.flikisd.com/  Photos by E.
