Five Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Five recent wrecks in Rabun County required the assistance of deputies from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.  The first happened at 4:30pm on July 30, on Acorn Creek Road near Highway 76 West when a 2016 Ford TK came around a curve, crossed the centerline, and struck a 2015 Ram Chassis on the mirror with its mirror.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  The second occurred at 9am on August 1, on Wolffork Road at its intersection with Taylors Chapel Road.  A 2018 GMC Acadia Denali pulled out into the roadway and struck a 2005 Ford Focus in the side as it was coming over the hill.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  The third took place at 1:57pm on August 1, on Sandy Ford Road when a 1994 GMC Sierra hit a 2014 Ford F-150.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  The fourth happened at 7:08pm on August 1, on Georgia 15 near Cathy Road when a 2005 GMC Yukon swerved to avoid a collision, hit the guardrail, and bounced back into traffic striking a 2020 Mazda CX-5 in the right rear quarter panel.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  The fifth took place at 1:15pm on August 2, at Vista Ridge Apartments when a 2009 Ford LGT was backing out of a parking space and struck the right side of a 2013 Chevrolet C15.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.
