Firearm lost in Tiger

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office took a report from a Tiger resident on January 25, 2023, in reference to a lost firearm.  The man told a deputy that he had a Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 380 go missing from his vehicle in July of 2022.  He said that he needed a report in case it ended up being stolen and used in a crime.  He said the delay in reporting it missing was that he wanted to attempt to find it first but had been unsuccessful.  The value of the gun is $400.  The firearm has been entered into the Georgia Crime Information Center database as missing and possibly stolen.
