Fire on Sandy Ford Road

A residential structure caught on fire last night on Sandy Ford Rd says Fire Chief Marty Dixon…

“Station 2, 8, and Station 1 responded to 2884 Sandy Ford Rd about 11 o’clock for a fully involved structure fire. One occupant was living there, made it out of the house safely. It was a total loss. Had about 15 or 20 firefighters on the scene. Took us to about 2 am to get the fire out, and salvage and overhaul, and everything.”

Marty adds that the fire itself was under control in about 45 minutes. A cause of the fire has not yet been determined but the occupant of the home Tee Fountain says he thinks it started from a wood burning stove.
