Felony Drug Bust in Rabun County

Two men face felony drug charges after a recent traffic stop in Rabun County.  According to the incident report, on Aug. 1, around 9pm, a deputy with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Dodge 2500 for failure to maintain lane at the intersection of East Boggs Mountain Road and Longview Road in Tiger.  During the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted and illegal drugs were discovered. The deputy arrested 35-year-old Ryan Marcus Sharrett of Franklin, North Carolina, for trafficking in illegal drugs, conspiracy to commit a felony, computer pornography, possession and use of drug-related objects, driving while license suspended or revoked, and failure to maintain lane.  The passenger in the vehicle, 43-year-old Jason Daniel Reiley of Lithia Springs, Georgia, was also arrested for trafficking in illegal drugs, conspiracy to commit a felony, and possession and use of drug-related objects. Both men were booked into the Rabun County Detention Center.
