Felony Burglary under Investigation
A felony first-degree burglary and theft by taking case in Clarksville is under investigation by the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office. On May 18, a deputy responded to an address on Gwinnett Lane in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. The deputy met with the victim, who stated that sometime between May 3-4, someone broke into his residence and caused approximately $1,300 in damage. The suspects also stole a Dewalt dual compound slap chop saw and a Dewalt chop saw stand belonging to a contractor working on the residence. The total value of the stolen items is $1,150. The case has been turned over to the Rabun County Criminal Investigation Division.
