Felony Burglary from Clayton under Investigation

A felony second-degree burglary from a residence on Bannister Drive in Clayton is under investigation by the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.  On April 14, a deputy met with the victim, who stated that she received a call from a store owner in Hayes, North Carolina, stating that a lot of paperwork with her name had been left at the crime scene.  Then the woman went to her car and found that someone had been inside her vehicle, went through all of her stuff, and stole a plastic tote full of office paperwork, a bag of clothes, and a bag of change.  The total value of the stolen items was $700.
