Failing to maintain Lane lands Passenger in Jail on Drug Charges

After a traffic stop for failing to maintain lane, the passenger in the vehicle was arrested on drug charges.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Feb. 17, 2020, a deputy stopped a 2009 Ford Fusion and after searching the vehicle discovered a green leafy substance suspected of being marijuana and a brown wax substance suspected of being THC wax.  The front-seat passenger, 19-year-old Kobie Darwin Irish of Lexington, Kentucky, was arrested for possession of a schedule I controlled substance and purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of controlled substances. He was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the two charges.
