Employees Cited in Cornelia for Underage Alcohol Sales

The Cornelia Police Department has participated in under aged drinking buys throughout their city, to check businesses who sell alcohol to those who are under the age of 21. Due to their discovery, six businesses have been issued citations in the city.

According to a report from AccessWDUN.com, 4 Cornelia restaurants and 2 stores received citations for selling alcohol to those underaged. Those establishments are:

ABC Foods, 873 N. Main St.;

Ingles I-Market Gas, 199 Habersham County Shopping Center;

El Patron, 950 N. Main Plaza Dr.;

Casa Bariachi, 107 Market Corners Dr.;

A.J.’s Pizza Pub, 700 Old Historic 441;

Ribeyes, 2955 J Warren Road.

The investigation is ongoing, but there’s good news, however. 15 businesses in Cornelia received certificates, for keeping alcohol away from younger citizens, including: Whistle Express, RaceTrac, and Pizza Hut.
