Drought Status is still Severe
Despite minimal rainfall over the last week, Rabun County is still classified in the “severe drought” category, according to the US Drought Monitor Report.
Rabun County received 0.12 inches of rain over the last week, but due to the rainfall totals of two weeks ago, the county’s status is still classed as severe.
More portions of Habersham and Hall County have moved into “extreme drought” status. All of Stephens, Banks, Hart and Franklin Counties continue to see extreme drought conditions.
