Don’t become a Coronavirus Patient

Social distancing is helping to flatten the curve of the Coronavirus.  You can do your part by not becoming a patient, says Dr. Carlos Del Rio, Infectious Disease Expert at Emory University.  “What everybody in the state can do is not to become a patient. If you don’t get infected you are one less person to worry about and that to me is a key component, is if you stay home, not only do you not get infected but you prevent other people from getting infected.”  Georgia Governor Brian Kemp recently extended the statewide shelter in place order through April 30, 2020, and signed an executive order extending Georgia’s public health state of emergency through May 13, 2020. To help flatten the curve and slow the spread, if you are sick with the Coronavirus or suspect you are infected with the virus, stay home.  If you develop a fever, cough, or have difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice.
