District 2 announces Changes in COVID-19 Schedules

To ramp up vaccination for COVID-19, health departments in District 2 will reassign staff from testing to immunization clinics, tells Dave Palmer, Public Information Officer for District 2 Public Health.  “On January 11, we’re going to open up the offering of COVID-19 vaccine as availability of the vaccine allows us to and we will be offering that to law enforcement and fire personnel as well as residents 65 years of age and older.  We’re finalizing our plans now and we ask that residents just watch for announcements in the media and our website, which is www.district2.org.”  Testing will be offered between 8-9am only, for symptomatic first responders, school employees, and court system personnel by appointment. This change will help meet the demand for providing vaccines to more people as public health works through the phases identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
