Despite Rain Totals, Rabun County Still Considered to be in Severe Drought

Rabun County continues to experience severe drought conditions, according to the latest report from the US Drought Monitor.

Despite the rainfall totals reaching 3 inches last week, the status remains the same as the prior weeks. A majority of Northeast Georgia continues to see severe drought conditions according to the report released last Thursday.

Portions of Habersham and Hall County, as well as all of Stephens, Banks, Franklin, and Hart Counties are in extreme drought status.
