Dampier leads TFS Lady Indians to 8th-place finish

The Tallulah Falls School (TFS) swim teams competed Saturday at Georgia Tech in the GHSA State Championships, reports TFS Athletics.  Sophomore Madison Dampier set two school records (topping her own previous marks), earning an individual state championship to highlight the TFS success. The girls came in 8th in Class 1A-3A, and the boys 12th.  Dampier earned the first GHSA State Championship in TFS history with her 100 Fly performance, and was State Runner-Up in the 200 IM. The 400 Free Relay girls squad was 5th, and the 200 Medley Relay for girls was 6th. Mattie Patterson earned a 10th-place finish in the 100 Free. The girls earned 128 points, good for 8th overall.  For the boys, their 200 Medley Relay (8th), 200 Free Relay (10th), and 400 Free Relay (7th) all posted top-10 finishes as well.
