Community’s help needed finding Drug Trafficker

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help locating a suspect wanted for trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.  On April 14, 2022, the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division conducted a search warrant at an address on North Germany Mountain Road in Clayton following a narcotics investigation.  Upon execution of the search warrant, investigators found a large amount of methamphetamine, digital scales, and other drug-related objects.  Investigators obtained warrants for the arrest of Austin Scott Groom for trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.  He is believed to be evading arrest in North Carolina.  If you have any information on his whereabouts, call  706-960-9744 or you can provide an anonymous tip via [email protected] or through the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office app.
