Commissioners approve Professional Services from EMI

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners recently approved a proposal for professional services, service delivery strategy mapping, and associated services from Engineering Management Incorporated (EMI) at their regular August meeting.  Rabun County Administrator Darrin Giles gives details on what this will provide the county in the near future. “Well as we go through the SDS mediation, which is set up for Sept. 19, and 20, 2019, we realized that there are service areas for water and sewer that are going to need to be mapped, so we brought Engineering Management on board to be able to do that for us.  They’ve worked for the City of Clayton as well as the county and they know the area well. So, we went ahead and brought them on as we make compromises and decisions on what the service areas are that we can let EMI know so that they can get these done for us and back to us pretty quick and get them out that we can agree on.” The proposal was unanimously approved by the Rabun County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 27, 2019.
