Col. McDonough Captivates at State of Rabun

The State of Rabun takes place earlier this morning.

Colonel Mark McDonough, the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Safety, was the keynote speaker for the event.

McDonough talked about three things during his time at the podium.

“The first is consequences of actions and words, the second thing is having a plan, and the third thing is holding God close.”

McDonough closed by saying that his third point is key.

“If we will keep God close, and glorify His name in everything that we will do, the State of Rabun will be as good today as its always been.”

The State of Rabun featured speakers from many of the cities throughout the county as well as the Rabun County Chamber of Commerce, the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and the Development Authority.
