Coach Shaw Honored by Falcons

One of the coaches of Rabun County High School was honored over the weekend by the Atlanta Falcons.

On Saturday, Head Coach of the Falcons Mike Smith presented one head football coach from each classification of the GHSA to be “Coach of the Year,” and one of those awards went to Rabun County’s own head football coach Lee Shaw.

The award was announced in between the first and second GHSA championship games at the Georgia Dome Saturday.

Other coaches awarded include Jon Lindsey of Irwin County High School, Tim McFarlin of Blessed Trinity Catholic School, DeTimothy Floyd of Jonesboro High School, Tommy Parks of Harris County High School, and Al Hughes of Lovejoy High School.
