Clayton Police Releases Numbers from July 4th Weekend

The Georgia State Patrol has released their numbers, but what about local law enforcement? The City of Clayton Police Department released their numbers for the weekend beginning last Friday and ending on the fourth of July.

Speeding led the way with 7. There were also 5 driving under the influence charges, there were two offenses on 6 different charges, including open container, possession of drug related objects, and safety belt violations. There was also one charge a piece of leaving the scene of an accident, and following too closely.

There were a total of 26 offenses committed during the four day weekend in Clayton.
