Clayton Mayor praises Workers for completing City Projects

A number of projects have recently been completed in the City of Clayton.  These projects required a lot of effort on the part of City workers and Clayton Mayor Kurt Cannon praises their hard work to improve the City.  “Well, we’ve got a lot of different projects going on.  Some culvert replacements across Old 441 were just done.  Some manholes that were replaced on Highway 76 that were caving in.  Several other sewer projects that we’ve identified as failing and we’ve jumped right on them and fixed them.  We’ve also been dealing with a lot of water issues.  We’ve identified several of those, been able to repair them, and put in some new lines for those, so we don’t just patch them.  Our guys are doing a really, really good job, working a lot of hours and getting some stuff done.  Also in the Streets Department as well, doing a lot of work around the City in cleaning up some old sidewalks that were hidden and had not been cleaned for years.  We’re just trying to get a lot of things cleaned up.  Our City employees are doing a really, really good job of getting out there and getting it done.”  Thanks once again to all the workers for their tireless efforts to improve the City of Clayton for residents and visitors alike.
