Clayton designates April 28th as Arbor Day

The Clayton City Council has approved a proclamation to recognize April 28th as Arbor Day in the City, explains Mayor Kurt Cannon.  “Clayton has been an Arbor Day participant and has done a lot of tree planting here in the City over the years and we’re going to do that again this year.  We’ll celebrate that day, which kind of coincides with most of the nation and we will be planting some trees that day in cooperation with a couple of other entities in the community.”  The City will be planting dogwood and redbud trees.
