Clayton City Council to hold Work Session

The Clayton City Council holds a work session on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 4pm; however, at 3:30pm the Council holds the first public hearing to set the millage rate for the City of Clayton.  Both meetings take place in the courtroom.  According to the work session agenda, the Council will consider the Fall Jamboree selling alcohol, a textmygov proposal, hear the Smith Street development update, discuss a food truck ordinance, amend an ordinance for rezoning hearings, request for bids for heating and air, as well as residential and household garbage, receive the monthly water and sewer status report, wastewater plant monthly report, ad valorem delinquent report, Police Department monthly report, financial status, zoning department report, Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority update, Downtown Development Authority update, hear a sewer ordinance for industry update, make an Ethics Board appointment, and possibly hold an executive session.
