Clayton City Council recognizes Police Officers

January 9, 2023, was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and at their monthly meeting, the Clayton City Council heard from Police Chief Andy Strait about his officers.  Clayton Mayor Kurt Cannon encourages everyone in the community to thank these brave men and women that risk their lives every day to keep us safe.  “Our officers are really great guys.  They spend time on our streets 24 hours a day out taking care of us, patrolling around the community, and averting a lot of crime away from us that passes through here on 441 and 76.  Those guys are out doing a really good job for us every day, really great men, and Andy Strait, our Chief, is really trying to do a great job of recognizing them and the work that they do and showing them the appreciation they need.  I would ask the community to do the same.  If you see our guys out, tell them you appreciate them and you appreciate what they are doing.”  Again, thanks to all the people who work in law enforcement for what you do every day to keep our community safe.
