Clayton City Council amends Food Truck Ordinance

The Clayton City Council has amended its food truck ordinance, explains Mayor Jordan Green.  “A few amendments that we made just affect the fee structure for a single food truck.  We had it set up where there was a quarterly, half-year, or annual permit and we went away from that and set the fee structure up basically where if somebody wants a daily permit, a monthly permit, or a yearly permit that will be permissible.  We also made an amendment to food trucks that participate in charitable events or a food truck that sets up that gives a certain percentage of their profits to a Rabun County charity that those fees will be waived or very much reduced.”  Mayor Green feels these new amendments will help some of the festivals that do charitable events as well as attract food trucks that may be hesitant to purchase a yearly permit, giving them the option of a daily or monthly permit that is not as costly.
