City of Clayton Provides Update on Pending Lawsuit

The Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority announced two weeks ago that they had made plans to take action against the city of Clayton concerning service delivery area near Boggs Mountain Road.

Speaking with the attorney for the city of Clayton, Mitch Baker, he was able to provide updated information concerning this pending lawsuit, by giving specifics on what to expect as to when the process will begin, saying that the soonest that it can be heard is 20 days following the filing of the lawsuit.

This pending lawsuit is still in the early stages, however, Baker was able to make a brief comment, saying that the city of Clayton “always strives to do what’s best for their customers.”

According to Baker, the city received service of the lawsuit on June 8th.
