Celebrate Science with a Fair and Festival

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Middle held their 5th annual Science Fair and Festival today. 39 6th and 7th graders participated to enter 32 projects in the fair. The fair produced 8 1st place winners that will go on to regionals in Athens to compete against nearly 200 others with a chance to move on to the state competition after that. “Amazing. Pretty good. Its a pretty amazing day. He had my heart going like wow. I know, yeah, like I wasn’t expecting that.”

Also joining them at regionals will be Abby Solomon, Jeremy Nash, Natalie Jump, Tony Sgro, Bess Prim and Jay Reece and Henrik Landis, all taking 1st place. Honorably mentions go out to Nathanial Lewis and Nicole Vanderwoude for 2nd place, and Galen Krugly, and the team of Graham Jump and Charlie Underwood who placed 3rd.
