Boil Water Advisory in Tallulah Falls

The Town of Tallulah Falls reports the water pressure has been restored and a boil water advisory is in effect for the residents of Hickory Nut Mountain as of February 15, 2023. This advisory is due to the pressure loss and subsequent repairs at the Hickory Nut booster pump station. The boil water advisory will be effective until all flushing is complete and all microbiological samples are negative for E. Coli. During the boil water advisory residents may shower, flush toilets and wash their hands. Users may also notice brown, tinted, and/or cloudy water at first. If you experience air in your system, go to the fixture that is highest in elevation in the house and open it to allow air to flush out of the system. The Town of Tallulah Falls will let you know when the boil water advisory is lifted.
