Billy Lewis Hamby, 82, Rabun Gap, GA

Billy Lewis Hamby, 82, of Rabun Gap, Georgia went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 2, 2013.

He was born July 27, 1930 in Clayton, Ga to Lewis Hamby and Mille Wall Hamby. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Odelle Kelly Hamby, a daughter, Gail Coleman of Rabun Gap; grandchildren, Keri Cannon (Johnathon) of Clayton, Kami English (Brandon) of Tiger, and Cody Coleman of Rabun Gap; great-grandchildren, Scout and Colter Cannon, Kaitlin Coleman, and Maddox English.

Mr. Hamby worked for the GA DOT and was the owner and operator of a cabinet shop in Rabun Gap, Ga. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and farming. He was of the Baptist faith.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2 PM at Beck Funeral Home with Rev. James Turpen, Rev. Doug Volk, and Rev. Doug Aultman officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Memorial Cemetery.
