Athletic physicals to be held at RCHS

CLAYTON — On Thursday, April 12 the yearly athletic physicals will be held in the gym at Rabun County High School.

According to Athletic Director Lee Shaw, the physicals will take place from 3:15 p.m. and last until 5:30 p.m. with various doctors and nurses administering the physicals. The physicals are for all students grades sixth through eleventh who plan to participate in any athletic program for the 2018-2019 school year.

Shaw said the physicals are free, however, he advises parents to be aware that students will have to wait in line. For any students who will be participating, he said to have children dropped off at the top parking area of the Gym.

In order for students to receive the free physical, the physical form, which was previously sent home to parents, must be filled out and signed. The students will need to bring the completed history section of the form and turn it in previous to receiving the physical. You may not enter the gym if your form has not been signed by a parent.

Shaw said all athletes must have an annual physical on file to participate in any athletic program at Rabun County High School or Rabun County Middle School.

If you have any questions regarding the physicals, call Rabun County High School at (706) 782-4526 for further information.
