Agenda set for Rabun County Board of Commissioners Meeting

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners Rabun County meets on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in the courtroom.  The work session starts at 5:30pm followed by the regular meeting at 6pm.  According to the agenda, the Board of Commissioners will consider for approval the rezoning request from Michael and Sandra Hyer to rezone a tract consisting of 20.15 acres located at Land Lots 52 and 53, Land District 4, Parcel 064 036 from agricultural to commercial business for the purpose of a future commercial use or potential sale; consider for approval the rezoning request from Kevin and Jodie Corsini for a variance from side setback requirements from the property line; consider for approval the request from Liberty Community Cemetery Foundation, Inc to transfer Liberty Cemetery from BOC to Liberty Community Cemetery Foundation, Inc.; consider approving a 2004 new Hollard Tractor VIN ACP234701 as surplus; consider approving the request from Sheriff Chad Nichols to approve the purchase of an Explorer to replace a Dodge Charger for $38,856 from the fund balance; consider appointment or reappointment of a member to the Joint Development Authority, the Board recommends the reappointment of Greg James; consider appointment or reappointment of a member to the RC Planning and Zoning Commission; and consider appointment of the Charmin’s appointee to severe on the Economic Development Authority.
