Agenda released for Rabun County Board of Commissioners Meeting

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners meets on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, in the courtroom.  The work session starts at 5:30pm followed by the regular meeting at 6pm.  Among the items on the agenda, the Board will consider for approval the reappointment of Doug Wayne to the GMRC as the private sector member, consider for approval a resolution for Rabun County adopting the Rabun County Joint Comprehensive Plan, consider for approval the rezoning request from Taywood, LLC to rezone a tract of 5.42 acres located at Land Lot 86, Land District 5, Parcel LB14 074, also known as 8118 Bridge Creek Road from agricultural to commercial business, consider for approval the agreement with EMI for professional services, on the Wolffork Road water line extension and proposal of a 500,000-gallon elevated water tank on Kelly’s Creek Road, consider for approval a quit claim deed from Lakes Fire & Rescue Department, Station 10 of Rabun County to Joye Hood Spates, John Mack Spates, and Sheri Spates Slappey for 0.39 acres of property located at 5960 Crow Creek Road in Lakemont, and consider for approval the low bid for the remodel of the Rabun County Tax Commissioner’s office with the low bid being Tom Adams Construction.
