Agenda released for Clayton City Council Meeting

The City of Clayton has released the agenda for the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 4pm in the courtroom.  Among the items on the agenda, the City Council will approve the CDBG engineering agreement, sign a resolution to declare a state of emergency for storm damage, hear a H&H study of Scott Creek, approve a Stekoa Creek restoration fee of $34,378, consider preliminary engineering and design/build contracting assistance fromShadyside Slope Repairs, appoint a city rep for the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority, set a temporary moratorium on the operation of golf carts on the city streets, discuss planned maintenance for Main Street on May 23, at 10:30pm as City crews will be making necessary repairs to the infrastructure including the replacement of a valve with the areas affected being North Main, South Main, East Savannah, West Savannah, and Duvall Street as these areas will lose water service temporally for repairs and these areas will be under a boil water advisory when service is restored and notified by the City of Clayton, hold a budget workshop with council and department heads, hear monthly reports and updates, discuss the old school cafeteria and kitchen demo that began on May 12, and possibly hold an executive session.
