A preliminary report concerning a plane crash that took place in Habersham County has been released.

A preliminary report concerning a plane crash that took place earlier this month in Habersham County has been released.

According to the report from the Federal Aviation Administration, the pilot James Lycett, was not receiving radar services, and did not have communication with air traffic control at the Habersham County Airport, where the plane crashed nearly a quarter mile from its destination.

Witnesses say that fog and mist covered the area near Baldwin, where the plane crashed, which may have played a factor. The preliminary report states that the plane crashed at 11:55 PM on the evening of November 4th, citing that a “loss of control” was the reason the plane crashed.

Three men and two dogs died as a result of the crash, the plane was traveling from Port Saint Lucie, Florida, en route to the Habersham County Airport.
