Small Turnout For a Bloody Good Cause

Local Blood Drive

The American Red Cross held its bi-monthly blood drive yesterday at the First Baptist Church in Clayton. Team Supervisors said the turnout was not as strong as it has been in the past and that they hope for more when they come back in 58 days. They also spoke on the there great benefits of giving blood…

“It gives your body a chance to regenerate new red cells instead of recycling the same cells over and over again. One of the biggest benefits is being able to help someone else, maybe some people can’t afford to donate lots of money, this is something I would consider more important being able to give someone life.”

If you would like to donate blood LifeSouth will be holding a drive at Paws for Life on October 26th and Red Cross will be back in November.
