‘We’re going to use the grant to have medical care for the dogs, anything you know for their needs, any kind of equipment that we have to use for the dogs. All the money will be spent on equipment and needs for the dogs.”

The K-9 units of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office are funded completely by grants and donations. None of the funding comes from the Sheriff’s regular budget. The Rabun Animal Clinic also helps by giving the K-9 units a discount on medical services.
