33 Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Rabun County

Thirty-three deaths have now been attributed to COVID-19 in Rabun County.  According to the latest figures from the Georgia Department of Public Health, 1,368 people have tested positive for the deadly respiratory virus, with 94 cases reported in the last two weeks.  In neighboring counties,  Habersham County reports 4,410 cases and 123 deaths, White County lists 2,723 cases and 55 fatalities, and Towns County has had 917 cases and 32 deaths.  According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been a total of 763,077 positive cases of the virus across the state, of those, 51,247 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus is 13,048.
