30-Day Warning Citations ended in Tallulah Falls

The Town of Tallulah Falls announces that its School Safety Program for the middle and high schools that started on August 8, 2022, has now extended past the 30-day warning citation period.  So, citations started being issued on September 7, 2022. The speed cameras will operate in the school zone throughout the entire school day. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:45am to 4:15pm. Contrary to popular belief the speed cameras will not issue citations after 4:15pm, this includes any time after 4:15pm and before 6:45am, Monday through Friday. This also includes nighttime hours, weekends, holidays, or any other day school is not in session. In the event of any extracurricular activities, meaning the students are on school property after these hours, the Tallulah Falls Police Department will probably have the lights flashing. However, it will not have the cameras activated, but that does not mean an actual officer won’t be out there watching for you. The lights will just be a warning to watch out for the students or buses.  Also, on teacher workdays or any other time the school decides to cancel classes or let out early, the Tallulah Falls Police Department will turn the cameras off.  The flashing lights will flash from 6:45am to 4:15pm, Monday through Friday, to give everyone an extra courtesy warning that it’s school time and to slow down.  If for whatever reason the lights are not flashing it could mean they need to be repaired or replaced, the cameras will still be taking pictures of your tags if you decide to drive too fast during the set hours.
