1,355 People have now tested Positive for COVID-19 in Rabun County

Despite all the precautions, more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Rabun County.  According to the latest figures from the Georgia Department of Public Health, 1,355 people have tested positive for the deadly respiratory virus, with 97 cases reported in the last two weeks and 31 deaths attributed to the virus.  In neighboring counties,  Habersham County reports 4,357 cases and 119 deaths, White County lists 2,706 cases and 55 fatalities, and Towns County has had 908 cases and 32 deaths.  According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been a total of 755,412 positive cases of the virus across the state, of those, 50,685 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus is 12,772.
