Strait Appointed as Chief

The Clayton City Council met earlier this week to discuss many items, one of the more important discussions were appointments for 2016. Many stayed the same, including many council members and the city manager, some changed. One of the changes was at the Chief of Police position.

Assistant Chief of Police, Andy Strait, was bumped up to chief on Tuesday, after being assistant chief since 2009. 

Andy Strait has been in law enforcement since 1989, when he began in Habersham County. He has been with the Clayton Police Department since 1998
