Wendy’s Breach Affects Several Tri-State Restaurants, Excludes Clayton

Fast food giant, Wendy’s, announced earlier this week that it has experienced a data breach, which goes back to the fall of 2015, and many surrounding cities have been affected, with the exception of Clayton. Some of the breach information included cardholder name, credit and debit card numbers, expiration dates, and service code.

Approximately 35 Georgia restaurants were affected, including stores in Blairsville, Blue Ridge, Clarkesville, Cleveland, Cornelia, Dahlonega, Ellijay, Gainesville, and Toccoa. A handful of North Carolina restaurants, including those in Cashiers, Cherokee, and Murphy were also affected.
